The Online Notarization Process: What to Expect

Here at Meeks Notary Service, we use a platform BlueNotary to do our online notarizations. We love the simplicity and ease of use of this platform. Now, what to expect when using Meeks Notary Service for your online notarization convenience: 

1. Schedule the meeting: Book your appointment above through our Calendly link. *Note: a non-refundable fee is required to reserve your meeting time. This will be deducted from the final invoice if applicable.

2. Upload your document(s): The document(s) must be sent when scheduling your timeslot to our email info@meeksnotaryservice.com. We upload the document(s) to BlueNotary right before the meeting to ensure they are ready to go.

3. Meeting: Each notarization scheduled includes a max of 20 minutes. Each additional notarization needs will extend the meeting 10 minutes. For example, the first notarization will be capped at 20 minutes, and 2 more will increase the meeting time to 40 total minutes. When signing on, you will be asked to take a picture of your ID and answer a couple of KBA (Knowledge-Based Authentication) questions about yourself. Please make sure you are on time. The meeting will conclude if you are over 15 minutes late with no communication. (Reminder that the initial deposit is non-refundable to reserve your timeslot for a notarization.) If there is communication, the meeting will conclude 20 minutes after the start of the appointment. If you are late after 15 minutes, there will be a late fee that must be paid before the release of the documents if the meeting goes over the 20-minute mark.  

4. Distribution of the document(s): Once the meeting concludes and payment is made, the notarized document(s) will be sent directly to your email provided.
